CEDAR RIDGE PLUMBING
Water Heater Repair & Replacement
Cold showers are not something you should have to schedule around. We repair and replace water heaters across Cedar City and Southern Utah, most of them in a single visit.
A water heater is one of those things nobody thinks about until the morning it fails. It is also one of the most common calls we get, and after 30+ years we have replaced and repaired more of them across Southern Utah than we could count.
The good news is that they usually warn you first. Hot water runs out faster than it used to. The tank starts popping or rumbling. The water comes out with a rusty tint, or there is dampness around the base. Catching it at that stage means a planned replacement instead of forty gallons on your floor and an emergency call.

Why heaters fail early in Southern Utah
Our water is hard, and that matters more than most people realize. Minerals settle out and collect as sediment in the bottom of the tank, so the burner has to heat through that layer to warm anything above it. The unit works harder, uses more energy, and wears out years before the label said it would. Flushing the tank periodically is the single best habit for making a heater last here, and it is worth asking about whether yours is new or aging.
